Arthur J. Carroll, USN

Biography:
Art Carroll’s photographs documented all facets of
life and work at East Base, including the repair of the damage to the Curtiss
Condor aircraft. Carroll’s aerial
photographs made on ten flights from East Base documented numerous
discoveries. Carroll was born on January
4, 1907 and died on January 24, 1992.
US Antarctic Service Medal (gold): presented to Carroll by the Governor of
Colorado.
